Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
