La Petite Maison's Bikini – The Method

We present a simplified take on a drink found on the seasonal menu. Designed as a large-volume pre-mixed that is loaded with essence of a festive period, making it perfect for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup to use in brunch beverages, desserts, or for more rounds of this cocktail.

Bikini

Serves 10 people

For the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar

To make the Cocktail (produces 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Method

To prepare the Syrup: Combine the listed components in a pan, bring to a light boil, mixing to dissolve. After that, remove from the stove and leave to cool entirely. Decant into an sterilised bottle, cap it keeping it chilled, where it will keep for about four weeks.

To make Cocktail Base: Combine the specified spirits and syrup into a big jug, let it rest for one hour, then strain preferably using cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.

For serving: Measure 85ml of the batch mix into your stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring gently for a minute until cold. Pour into a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, garnish with the cranberries and finish by giving it a quick spritz with the mandarin essence over the top.
